It is a gentle technique where you will not be asked to ‘re-live’ past events. You will be able to make lasting and positive changes, seeing results in a short space of time, entirely by yourself. You can be confident in the fact that each session is completely confidential and that EFT is a safe, proven and effective therapeutic technique.
What is EFT ?
The use of EFT is spreading very rapidly in the UK and it has now been accepted as a recognised therapeutic technique by the NHS and can be used to treat many issues and for personal development.
EFT or Emotional Freedom Therapy is a new form of therapy whose roots are firmly based in Acupuncture, Kinesiology and Psychology. it can be effectively described as “Emotional Acupuncture – without the needles”.
The technique involves stimulating the energy pathways in the body in the same way as Acupuncture, but instead of using needles, it involves gently tapping with your fingers on specific acupressure points on your body, whilst at the same time ‘tuning in’ emotionally to the specific problem or issue that concerns you.
For example, if you have negative feelings about a person or situation, during the session you will be asked to describe these feelings and the intensity of emotion associated with them. You will then be shown which key points on the body to tap and what key words to say and focus on as you do so. After each stage of the treatment, you are then asked to think about the person/situation again to check how you currently feel about it. Clients are often surprised to find that there has been a reduction in the level of emotion felt.
sorting fact from fiction

The process is repeated until the body’s energy system is fully re-balanced and that event no longer arouses negative feelings in the client.
Although EFT is a physical technique, it does not involve any actual physical contact between the client and the therapist. You simply follow my guidance but carry out the actual technique.
