Dragonfly Hypnotherapy fees

Hypnosis has been used as a therapeutic technique for a long list of ailments throughout recorded history.  There is evidence of the use of Hypnosis for healing as far back as 3000 BC in Ancient Egypt.  In more modern times, Hypnosis was used extensively for pain relief, amongst other things, in medical operations before the development of modern anaesthetic drugs.

The term ‘Hypnosis’ comes from the Greek Hypnos which means sleep. However, actual sleep is not involved - clients remain conscious and alert, though extremely relaxed, and can communicate with their therapist throughout the session.

What is hypnotherapy?

There is a strong misunderstanding about Hypnosis. Firstly, forget all about Stage Hypnosis ........Hypnotherapy is not entertainment and it’s not possible for people to be made to do or say things against their will – these ‘performers’ are hand-picked to entertain and amuse. Hypnotherapy uses the relaxing techniques of Hypnosis to enable you, the client, to make lasting and positive changes and get the most from your life – naturally and safely.

Almost everyone can be hypnotised and the more intelligent the person, the easier it is!  If you’ve ever found yourself not being able to remember a stretch from a long car journey or found yourself working on ‘automatic pilot’ whilst thinking about something else, then you might be surprised to learn you’ve actually entered a state of self-hypnosis.

Overall, Hypnotherapy is a pleasant experience where the client allows themselves to be influenced by the therapist, but always remains in control.

sorting fact from fiction

After each session you will feel relaxed, positive and be fully aware of everything that has taken place.  You will also be safe in the knowledge that everything that takes place between yourself and your therapist is completely confidential.
